Do we limit our asking God for big things?

I was made to realize so often we are stuck on asking for the small things in life. We fail to ask for some bigger things that seems impossible. When Stephanine made a comment on the other time that I blog, it got me to thinking about that God cares as much for the large things as well as the small. They may seem so small to the outside world but they are bigger than any mountain to us.
It also brought to mind that this case against the doctor that did my knee seems like a mountain but to God it is just as important as some of my small needs. I have had to learn to say more and more,"Here it is God, it is in your hands"and then let Him work it out where there seems to be no way. So many times we want to "help" God out by going ahead and doing it. Only to find that is not the way God had planned and we get ourselves in major hot water.
I hope that what I have said above may be of a help to someone out there. Remember one thing as I am sure that most of you have heard, when God shuts one door He opens up another one for us in His time.

God is still answers prayer

I know that it has been awhile since I have written. It just seemed that there was nothing to write about. That is till now.

I applied for disability back in 2007 and was told that I did not qualify. So I waited for a few months and reapplied. Of course I had to fill out a lot of paper work that then went to doctors and back to Social Security benefits. After filling out these papers I just prayed that God would take care of everything and I was leaving it in His hands. I was told the first time that if I did get it that I would not get any extra money and the B part of medicare. I said I understood. The other day I got my medicare card and here was part A and B on it and it starts the first of August. I was saying thanks be to God for hearing and answering prayer on this as I have been with out any insurance since May of 07. About 2 weeks ago, I got this letter stating that I would get a hundred dollar raise. It is enough to pay for my medicare. And also I got a check to make up for all of the back pay since Feb 07 because that is when I was no longer able to work. He has proven once again that if we leave things in His hands that He will work everything out in His time. So many times we want our answers to prayer right then and there but it is not His time.

Steven was out of work for awhile because of a lay off but thanks be to God again he went back to work. He has been working over time every since he went back.

Matthew starts kindergarten this coming fall. It sure does not seem like he should going to school yet. He will only let me rock him to sleep if he is very tired and unable to go to sleep. The last time that we had him he came into our bedroom and I pretended to be asleep as I wanted to see what he would do. I was peeking through my eyelashes and he kept watching me. Finally he said Nano it is time to get up. Before I got up he wanted to cuddle for a little bit and then he said I love you Nano. I melted like butter inside. He is so special to me.
